  • Par mums

Salacgriva port is the furthest Latvian North port

Salacgriva port has a long history - already in the 1368 it has been mentioned in the historical sources as the port of the Livonian archbishop. In the course of time it has become an important import and export port in North Vidzeme.

The way the port is now, it was only built in the second half of 20th century, when the north and south breakwaters were built as well as the piers to serve fishing boats. At the end of last century Salacgriva port slowly became a full-fledged cargo port.
